1 review for Marble Renew

  1. Gary Baker

I was very hesitant purchasing Marble Renew, but I’m glad I did. Over the past ten years our Bottocino Piedrafina countertop in our master bathroom has taken a beating. I had about a 4 sq/ft area that was etched and very dull. Of course, it was right in the center of the countertop which is about a 10 foot long. I followed the instructions and with some good old “Elbow Grease,” I was able to bring that countertop back to looking like it was new.

I must admit, seeing no one had ever left a review had me concerned, but for $25.00 including shipping and tax, I figured I’d give it a try. I had tried using rubbing compound, but that did nothing. Amazon has dozens of products listed for removing etched surfaces on marble, but I decided to buy the Piedrafina brand. I guess I just felt it’s their Engineered Marble, so I’d be safer using their Marble Renew product.

It took me about 90 minutes to do the entire countertop. It is very important to only do small sections at a time. The slurry has to be slightly moist before doing the final rubbing to get the shine. If it dries, you just have to redo the area to get it moist again.

I bought the 2oz container. After doing about 20 sq/ft, I still have plenty left. I could easily do another 20 or 30 sq/ft, maybe more. I wish I could attach a photo, but I don’t see an option for that.
